Bamboo Pendant, Small, Jade

It is a pleasure to walk in a bamboo forest... cool, dark and quiet with a graceful symmetry. The wind plays the leaves, its chosen instrument and brings with it a sense of serenity. In Japan, bamboo represents the spirit of summer. In ancient Chinese culture, giving a gift of bamboo was also giving a friend the gift of good fortune. Bamboo symbolizes the ingredients for a happy life: Happiness, Wealth and Longevity.

I have walked in a bamboo forest. What I remember most is the cool, dark atmosphere and the sound... the wind was blowing lightly and the 20' bamboo trunks were gently hitting one another producing a clicking sound which was very soothing.
