Birch Bark Necklace, Silver Jewelry, Quartz, Cable
Birch Bark Pendant
Silver Jewelry, Frosted Quartz, 1/2" x 1 1/4", 16-18" Adjustable Length, Stainless Steel Cable
Birch trees are our northern hardwood. They dazzle us with their beautiful white bark and lush green leaves that turn our hills to gold in the Fall. Their wood is used to make everything from canoes to plates. Plus, there is a thriving industry here in Alaska which taps the birch for its sap and makes a delicious syrup. Check out this link of some friends of mine who do just that! The Celts believed the birch was a symbol of "renewal". This pendant is suspended on stainless steel cable and interspersed with frosted quartz beads. The cable is made from 7 strands of 7 strands (49 total) and is both strong and flexible. The 2" extender makes this piece adjustable.
